Dear colleagues,

Over the past two weeks, in collaboration with the Local Arrangement Committee, we have explored several cultural venues in Chiayi. We believe that these venues are more suitable for our 2024 symposium than the ones we initially planned. Consequently, we have decided to change the time and venue of the 2nd Symposium of the ICTMD Study Group on Indigenous Music and Dance as follows:

The 2nd Symposium of the ICTMD Study Group on Indigenous Music and Dance will be held from 22 to 25 November 2024 in Chiayi, Taiwan. The venue of the symposium will be at Chiayi Museum and Chiayi City Concert Hall.

These two venues are adjacent to each other and fall under the Chiayi Municipal Cultural Center, governed by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Chiayi City. With these options, we have various spaces suitable for the opening and closing ceremonies, keynote speeches, two to three parallel presentation sessions, concerts, and exhibitions on indigenous cultures. Additionally, the facilities for accommodation, dining, sightseeing, and recreation are all included in this area. We hope this change can bring you a better experience of the symposium and your short stay in Chiayi.

在過去的兩周中，我們與當地議事組委員會合作，實地考察了嘉義的幾個文化場所。經過評估，我們認為這些地點比最初計劃的地點更適合舉辦2024年的研討會。因此，我們決定將第二屆國際傳統音樂學會原住民音樂舞蹈研究小組的國際論壇時間和地點做出以下更改：

第二屆國際傳統音樂學會（ICTMD）原住民音樂舞蹈研究小組（ICTMD-IMD）國際論壇將於2024 年 11 月 22 日至 25 日在台灣嘉義舉行。研討會舉辦地點定為嘉義市博物館與嘉義市音樂廳。

這兩個場館彼此相鄰，隸屬於嘉義市文化局管理的嘉義市文化中心。這些場館提供了多種空間，非常適合舉辦開幕式和閉幕式、主題演講、兩至三場同時舉行的發表會、音樂會和原住民文化展覽等活動。此外，這個區域內還提供住宿、餐飲、觀光和娛樂設施。我們希望這樣的改變能為您在嘉義參加研討會以及短暫停留帶來更好的感受。有關會場的更多信息：
